At Aurora Candles we love to hear from our customers
when there is a question about our products. So we have answered
the questions that most of our customers ask us many times
over. If you are not sure of anything about Aurora Candles
exclusive products, you’ll find it here.
1. Are Aurora Candles made here in Australia?
Yes. Aurora Candles is a Perth based manufacturer of individually handmade candles and we are Australian owned and operated.
2. How can I find Aurora Candles?
We are happy for our customers to contact
us by phone or email and we will let you know where our
nearest stockist is or you can come into our Aurora Candle
shop at the Subiaco Pavilion Markets.
3. Do you sell your candles wholesale?
Yes. Aurora Candles do wholesale. Customers who purchase our candles for wholesale must have a registered business name and ABN.
4. Will my candle fade?
Yes. Candles can fade if left in direct sunlight over a long period of time. Some candle colours do fade more than others, so it is always best to place candles away from sunlight or store them until ready to use again.
5. Will my candle drip?
No. As the wick burns down the rim of the candle, the wick will curl inwards and down with the candle. This process is slow and gradual because of the long burning time of wax.
6. Do I need to trim the wick?
No. All of the wicks in the Aurora range are self trimming. If you cut the wick, you may not be able to relight the candle again.
7. Will the wax ‘stick’ to my furniture?
No. Our candle wax is very unique in that if you do happen to spill any wax, just let it cool down and then peel or rub it away from the surface.
8. How long can I burn my candle for?
You can burn your candle for up to 5 to 6 hours at any one time. We recommend burning for 2 to 3 hours at any one time because it will help prolong the life of the fragrance within the candle wax and also, the candle will burn down to a more even shape.
9. Can I use Aurora Candles with my own candle accessories at home?
Yes. Our candles are designed and made so that they can be used in any candle holder or even placed onto a candelabra.
10. Can I have my candles outdoors?
No. Candles do not like direct sun or to be near direct heat. Always use candles that are only designed for outdoor use. Make sure candles are able to be underneath a patio or shaded area.
11. Can I leave the packaging on the candle when I start burning it?
No. We do not recommend this as the packaging may catch fire. Always remove any labels and packaging before burning. Our tea light plastic candle cups are heat resistant so you can burn these with safety.
12. How do I remove the wax from my candle holder?
All you need to do when the candle is finished burning is to simply grab the remaining wax with your fingers and peel it away. There is no need to add water into your candle cups or votive holders.
